John Mace McGrath is a dedicated conservative leader committed to preserving Berkeley County’s values and shaping a strong Republican future. A decorated Army officer, Citadel graduate, and seasoned strategist, John has successfully worked to elect Republicans at every level of government. As Vice Chairman of the Hanahan Board of Zoning Appeals, Chairman of the Berkeley County Young Republicans, and a member of the Berkeley GOP Executive Committee, John has strengthened grassroots efforts, built winning coalitions, and championed youth involvement. He has advocated for efficiently-run meetings, greater collaboration, and robust support for Republican nominees and officeholders. Now, John is running for Berkeley County GOP Chairman to unite Republicans and lead the party into a new era of success.​

In his downtime, John is dedicated to staying active through exercise and weightlifting, a passion he takes seriously. Also a licensed pilot, he frequently takes to the skies, embracing his love of flying. When not working or flying, John enjoys spending time with friends at LG’s in Hanahan and lives locally with his trusty companion, George the cat.

Victoria Cowart, CPM, NAAEI Faculty is a multi-family industry member with extensive experience providing management and oversight for rental properties. She arrived at the BCGOP with a passion for legislation, education, and simplification. Communicate, educate, activate and good, better, best are her mantras for the members. Victoria obtained her degree in the Management of human resources and then her industry CPM designation. She was honored to be commissioned a SC “Palmetto Patriot,” and to receive the Charleston Regional Business Journal’s Executive “Influential Women In Business.” Victoria has been a leader in her industry and came to the Party having chaired a national PAC and most recently the NAA’s Legislative Committee. Beginning as a member, then a Vice Chair, Victoria is now completing her second term as the Chair of the Berkeley County Republican Party. She is a wife and mother and excited for the future of this party!
